Kids meet 01 "Shadows in the Wonderland"
The "Kids meet" series of children’s programs creates opportunities for children of diverse backgrounds to meet by change, encounter things they could never have imagined, and talk to each other through art experiences. Our aims are for these experiences to broaden the way children see the world and expand their worlds, and to draw out in the children a rich imagination that respects diverse values.
Shadows. They are always with us, but when it gets dark, they disappear. Let’s make those shadows the star and create a "Shadow Wonderland!"
At "Kids meet 01", our guest instructors, installation artist HARA Rintaro and painter HARA Yu, will help the children create life-size silhouettes (shadows) of themselves. When light is shone on these colorfully designed silhouettes, it will create a world of shadows.
