Born in 1981 in Fukuoka Prefecture. Live in Tochigi Prefecture. After journeys that included walking the length of Japan on the income from his paintings, Kagawa established a style all his own. He renders organic patterns and motifs—where the figurative and abstract intermingle—with both precision and boldness. Selected exhibitions: Shinano Primitive Sense Art Festival (various sites in Omachi, Nagano; participating annually since 2011) and the solo exhibition Coil of Living Things (Tsomoriri Bunko, Tokyo, 2024).
